Dovercourt Public School hosts electronics recycling event

Dovercourt Public School is hosting its first electronics recycling event Dec. 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The school is raising money to replace shade trees in Toronto District School Board schools that have been devastated by the Emerald Ash Borer, an insect pest from Asia that attacks and kills all species of ash trees. Visit www.toronto.ca/trees/eab.htm for details.
The school, at 228 Bartlett Ave., near Dupont and Dufferin streets, will accept amplifiers, equalizers, answering machines, audio/video players, cameras, cellphones, computers and peripherals, printers, typewriters, fax machines, gaming consoles, monitors, hand-held computers, pagers, PDAs, DVD and CD players, scanners, radios, record players, speakers, televisions, tuners, video projectors and recorders. Air conditioners or household and kitchen appliances are not accepted.
