Things are baking in the recently branded Beach Hill community.
On Sunday, Dec. 2 from 2 to 4 p.m., area residents are invited to make their way to the Naval Club of Toronto for the neighbourhood’s inaugural Beach Hill Bake-O-Rama.
The event, which will include a bake sale as well as a baking contest (judging is set to begin at 3 p.m.), will also include a kids craft table and cookie decorating.
Members of the Beach Hill Neighbourhood Association (BHNA) are also asked to support the fundraising event by contributing baked goods, as well as taking part in a number of baking contests including best kids cookie (for kids 12 and under), best holiday treat, best cookie, best square, and best “health conscious” treat (i.e. gluten-free, low-fat, etc.).
Volunteers are also needed to help with setting up the day before and helping out during the event.
Proceeds from the Beach Hill Bake-O-Rama will be directed to local beautification efforts as well as the BHNA’s mandate of supporting local businesses.
The Naval Cub of Toronto is located at 1910 Gerrard St. E., just west of Woodbine Avenue.
