A ‘blue walk’ running from Riverdale Park East to the Distillery Historic District is planned for Sunday, Nov. 25.
Hosted by Evergreen, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and the City of Toronto, the water’s edge tour will run from 1 to 3 p.m.
Interested participants should meet at the northwest corner of Broadview Avenue and Gerrard Street East in front of the library.
The five-kilometre walk will include stairs, paved pathways and city sidewalks.
This tour is part of the community engagement process for the Lower Don Greenway project, an initiative that aims to transform the Lower Don area into an innovative green space showcasing Toronto’s distinctive ravine system through gateways, new and improved access points and amenities and enhanced pedestrian trails and bridges.
All are welcome to attend.
