Toronto police have identified an elderly woman found murdered in her North York apartment on Saturday.

The victim is 78-year-old Manijeh Bostani-Khamsi, whose body was discovered at about 9:15 a.m. in a Wynford Drive apartment near Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue.

She had suffered obvious trauma, police said.

Bostani-Khamsi was declared dead at the scene.

Homicide investigators want to talk to anyone with information about her death or anyone who knows her whereabouts prior to her murder.
