Author Lam to speak at Taylor Memorial Library

A Giller Prize winning author will be reading from his novel at a Scarborough library on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.

Vincent Lam will read from his latest book, The Headmaster’s Wager, at the Taylor Memorial Library at 1440 Kingston Rd. at 7 p.m.

The novel takes place in Saigon during the Vietnam War.

Lam, an emergency room doctor at Toronto East General Hospital, won the 2006 Scotia Bank Giller Prize for his first book, Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures.

Lam’s reading is part of the regularly scheduled Author Series at the library.
