Evergreen, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and the City of Toronto are hosting a ‘green walk’ Sunday, Nov. 18 in the Don Valley.
The tour, which will include stops at Riverdale Park East and Evergreen Brick Works, will run from 1 to 3 p.m.
Interested participants should meet at the northwest corner of Broadview Avenue and Gerrard Street East in front of the library.
This walk is part of the community engagement process for the Lower Don Greenway project, an initiative that aims to transform the Lower Don area into an innovative green space that showcases Toronto’s distinctive ravine system through gateways, new and improved access points and amenities and enhanced pedestrian trails and bridges,
Cynthia Webb of the Bridgepoint Health Foundation will also speak about the local hospital’s redevelopment during the five-kilometre walk, which will include stairs, paved pathways and city sidewalks.
All are welcome to attend.
