Senior found dead in east Toronto home

One woman is dead and a man has been transported to hospital following an incident early this afternoon at a home near Gerrard Street East and Coxwell Avenue.
Toronto Police Const. Wendy Drummond said the death is being treated as “suspicious.”
The Homicide Squad is now monitoring the scene, she confirmed.
Paramedics received a call for assistance at 12:31 p.m., said EMS Deputy Commander David Viljak.
Once on scene at the Ladykirk Avenue residence they located two seniors without vital signs.
“We attended a call there and we found two elderly citizens without vital signs,” he said, adding details about this situation are very limited at this point.
“At this point, it’s under investigation by police.”
