An undercover operation, which resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a home near Gerrard Street East and Coxwell Avenue, has lead to the arrest of a Toronto man.
The accused, whose name and age has not been released to protect the identity of his seven-year-old child, allegedly sold drugs to an undercover officer on a number of occasions, including on Thursday, Nov. 8.
This time, police report the accused left his home and walked several hundred yards to complete the drug deal.
He was arrested and found to be in possession of a switchblade knife.
Police executed a search warrant at the home of the accused immediately afterward locating his seven-year-old child unattended inside the residence.
Investigators also found a quantity of heroin as well as about 30 to 40 used needles inside the home.
The accused, who is facing 14 drug-related charges, had a Nov. 9 court appearance.
