Queen Street East accessibility tour Nov. 13

Beach Mirror

A walk/wheel along Queen Street East focusing on accessibility in the Beach is set to take place Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hosted by Ward 32 Councillor Mary-Margaret McMahon and City of Toronto staff, the event will begin at 1842 Queen St. E. at Brookmount Road.

The walk/wheel will proceed eastward along the north side of Queen Street East to Lee Avenue before crossing the road to the south side of the street and travelling westward back to the starting point.

The goal of the event is to draw attention to mobility issues those with physical and visual disabilities and/or impairments face in the community and to find ways to make local sidewalks safer and more accessible.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled.

Call McMahon’s office at 416-392-1376 to confirm your attendance.
