Annual Santa parade seeks volunteers
Etobicoke Guardian
The Etobicoke-Lakeshore Santa Claus Parade is in need of volunteers.
The historic Lakeshore tradition runs along Lake Shore Boulevard West from Dwight Avenue just west of Royal York Road in Mimico to Thirty-Sixth Street in Long Branch on the first Saturday of December.
Organizers of the 22nd annual iconic Lakeshore parade are looking for people with a elf-like zeal for helping in the capacities of: parade marshals, special project co-ordination on parade day, supporting the parade committee in various tasks and assisting in securing sponsorships.
Parade co-chair Angelo Cundari said volunteers are also needed to help sew and fix costumes in the costume department and handy people to paint and do small repairs to floats.
New groups interested in performing in the parade are also welcome.
Teens earn community service hours working on the parade.
