Art Starts unveils Demolition Art House

Art Starts unveils its Demolition Art House Sept. 22 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The grassroots, community-based group made up of local youth and professional artists has been transforming a boarded up, soon-to-be demolished house into a work of art.

Over the summer, this group of art-minded individuals worked together to create a multi-coloured art environment inspired by fun with a goal to promote thought and discussion.

Arts Starts offers creative opportunities to those living in underserved communities.

Stop by the Demolition Art House, 458 Oakwood Ave., Saturday, Sept. 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. and look for the giant octopus.

For details, please call Sarah Bothwell, project co-ordinator, at 416-656-9994, ext. 3.
