St. Alban's hosts a CD release party

The talents of youth from St. Alban's Sound Studio will be unveiled when they release their first independent full-length album A Team.

The St. Alban's Sound Studio, located within the St. Alban's Boys and Girls Club at 843 Palmerston Ave., offers youth 14 to 22 a place to go to produce their music. A professional engineer is available, and workshops are held to help youth learn the ins and outs of the studio and music business. All programs are free.

A Team is a 15-track CD written and produced by some of the youth who attend the studio. The youth are hosting a CD release party Nov. 26 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Trane Studio, 964 Bathurst St.

There will be performances by Aay Cee, Ares, Trinibwoii, Styl3z, Whitney, Raw Symphony, Brandon Dramatic, Pablo, Jazmine, Shif-T, Gifty Singh

MC by Kim Joubert, DJ Mutt AKA Sean Roman , Fresh Kils on the MPC.

The party is an all-ages event with no cover charge and free food.

The CD costs $5 and can be purchased at the release party or at club at 843 Palmerston Ave.
