Sunnybrook hosts panel on OCD and hoarding

If you, or someone you know, is dealing with symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder or hoarding, you may want to attend a seminar at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre next week.

As part of its ongoing speakers series, the hospital is putting together a panel of experts who can discuss the issues in terms understandable to the general public.

Topics being discussed include an overview of OCD and hoarding, what happens in the OCD brain, OCD in pregnancy and postpartum, and current treatments for OCD and hoarding.

The moderator will be Dr. Anthony Levitt, Sunnybrook's psychiatrist-in-chief.

The event will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the McLaughlin auditorium of the hospital at 2075 Bayview Ave., south of Lawrence Avenue.

Admission is free and there is free parking in garage one.

To confirm your attendance, call 416-480-4117 or email speaker.series@sunnybrook.ca by Jan. 16.
