The Good: A firm Conservative majority and the devastation of the Bloc. The Bad: Can't think of anything right now... The Ugly: British Columbians electing the worst kind of political opportunist in Elizabeth May ...more

Wasn't there an election in Canada?

It is entirely possible that at the advanced age of 51 I have come to the point where the excitement of preparing to vote in an election has diminished to close to zero. Or it could be just that this election has been the most boring in recent memory. ...more

An Election Canard

Does it confirm what I've always thought, that soccer is a sport without a real reason for being? Take the best team of any sport and have them play the worst team and the score will be a lot more lopsided than it was in South Africa. So how come soccer is different? How will we know when we have watched a brilliant game, or team, if the score doesn't reflect it. Please help. ...more
