Civic Centre, North York

The North York Civic Centre was once home to North York city council and now remains a place that offers many services to area residents.

Some of the services include animal control, a public library and a wedding gallery.

The North York community council, a committee of councillor representing wards in the area, uses this civic centre as a meeting place.

Mel Lastman Square is a public square outside the North York Civic Centre. The square is the location for many outdoor festivities year-round. It is named after former North York mayor Mel Lastman.

The North York Civic Centre is at 5100 Yonge St. For information, call 416-395-7300.
