It is entirely possible that at the advanced age of 51 I have come to the point where the excitement of preparing to vote in an election has diminished to close to zero. Or it could be just that this election has been the most boring in recent memory.
Ask me for a hot election policy topic and you'll get a blank stare - I really am starting to wonder what the whole excercise is about. The thought that we could end up with another minority government is almost too much to bear.
I think comon sense will prevail and we'll get a Conservative majority. I can't really believe anyone would vote for the NDP if they thought there was a chance they could actually win power. Especially in Ontario.
It's amazing how smart the voters are in Quebec, though. They can see the Bloc are a waning force and so are already hedging their bets.
It was pointed out to me that Bob Rae has been virtually unseen during the campaign. No doubt he's waiting in the weeds for Ignatieff to go so he can proceed to the coronation.
