So Brazil, the top-rated soccer team at the World Cup in South Africa plays North Korea, the 105th-rated team and wins 2-1. Can someone explain what that means? Does it confirm what I've always thought, that soccer is a sport without a real reason for being?
Take the best team of any sport and have them play the worst team and the score will be a lot more lopsided than it was in South Africa. So how come soccer is different? How will we know when we have watched a brilliant game, or team, if the score doesn't reflect it.
Please help.
