Earth Hour is almost upon us - circle March 27 in your calendar if you haven't already - and it's time to figure out what you're going to do to mark one of the most important days of the environmental calendar. The possibilities are endless: you could play a board game with your family by candlelight, throw a light-less street party with your neighbours, do another activity normally done in the dark or head down to Yonge-Dundas Square (by public transit, of course) for Toronto's Earth Hour party. The fun gets underway at 5:30 p.m. with street performers, Earth Hour wishes, and performances by
Justin Nozuka, Jarvis Church and Chantal Kreviazuk.
Whatever you decide to do just make sure the lights - and TV, computer, video games, microwave... - are OFF between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.
It's just one hour, you can do it!
