A Viral Candidate

Adam Giambrone has been announcing he's probably going to run for mayor in all sorts of interesting ways.

Thanks to a fact-checking, um, error in a local alternative weekly newspaper some time ago, the 32-year-old chair of the Toronto Transit Committee declared himself straight (so far as I know, the only member of Toronto Council to do so explicitly) earlier this month.

This week, he declared himself contrite about the Toronto Transit Commission's crummy customer service record, a week after very mayorally announcing a "Blue Ribbon Panel" on customer service.

And on Thursday afternoon / evening, a video emerged on YouTube. This video.

It appears as though Mr. Giambrone is ready.

 UPDATE

And if there was any doubt - this from his facebook page this morning:

Adam Giambrone Come join me at Revival Monday Feb. 1 to discover my vision and passion for Toronto and hear why I have the energy and experience to be Toronto's next Mayor.
