Man injured in armed robbery

A 26-year-old man received minor injuries during an armed robbery early Thursday near Morningside Avenue and Sewells Road, south of Old Finch Avenue.

Police said two men came up to the victim at about 1:40 a.m.

One man produced a handgun and demanded cash. The victim didn't comply and was hit in the mouth. The gunman then searched the victim's pockets and stole his wallet and iPod. The robbers fled west on Sewells.

The suspects are black, 20 to 22 years old with thin builds.

One is five-feet eight-inches to five-feet 10-inches tall. The other is five-feet six-inches to five-feet eight-inches tall.
