Two males suspected in violent home invasion

A man received a large cut to the head during a home invasion robbery on Sultana Avenue southwest of Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue Monday night.

Police said two males entered the home by climbing through a window around 11:45 p.m.

"One of the suspects was armed with a small handgun and a knife," said Const. Tony Vella, adding police are "still trying to determine exactly what was taken."

A resident of the home was taken to hospital with a large cut to the back of his head.

"The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction," Vella said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-7350 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
