Police looking for suspects in separate purse snatchings

Police from North York's 33 Division are investigating a pair of purse snatchings that occurred Monday night.

At 8:50 p.m., a man wearing a disguise came up to a 47-year-old woman near Bayview Avenue and Bayview Mews Lane. The man grabbed the woman's purse and knocked her to the ground.

The robber is white, 25 to 30 years old, six-feet one-inch to six-feet two-inches tall with a medium build.

At 9:10 p.m., two males wearing disguises pushed a 53-year-old woman to the ground and stole her purse near Don Mills Road and Finch Avenue. Police have vague descriptions of the suspects.

Both victims received minor injuries.

Anyone with information on either incident can call 33 Division at 416-808-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
