Four arrests in connection with jewelry robbery

Toronto police have arrested four people in connection with the armed robbery of Yorkville's Cartier jewelry store this past January.

Shaundalea Hackett, 30, of Toronto, and Randall Carvery, 37, of no fixed address, were arrested on March 6. Both are charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offense and two counts of robbery while armed with a firearm.

Carvery has also been charged with disguise with intent, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order and forcible confinement.

The pair appeared in court the day after their arrest.

Police arrested two more suspects on March 7.

Jafari Deschamps, 19, of Toronto is charged with two counts of robbery and disguise with intent, while Nikita Phillips of Toronto is charged with two counts of robbery while armed with a firearm, disguise with intent, failure to comply with probation and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.

Deschamps had a March 8 court appearance, while Phillips had a March 11 court date.
