Ian Mungal

Ian Mungal is a Scarborough native who thinks the Canadian flag represents "unity and keeping the peace."

He said he knew there was a flag day (although he didn't remember what day it was) and feels it should be a day that's used to remind people to be thankful and have pride for our great country.

"It's important because it reminds me that I am Canadian, that we also live in a good country, and to remind all the immigrants where they are and how lucky they are," he said.

Living in a condo, Mungal said he isn't able to display a flag outside his home, but would like to see his building display one. However, he adds, if he did have a home or cottage, he would fly the flag outside all year round.
