Kids be warned - when your back is turned, it's likely your parents are raiding your Halloween stash.While kids may be worried about their siblings stealing the good candy from their room, a new survey by Nestle Favorites, and courtesy of News Canada, shows it's more likely that parents are the ones who are doing the sneaking - close to half of the parents surveyed say they dip into Halloween bags.
The survey also discovered:
* Dads seem to be more successful swipers, since 74 per cent of fathers claim they rarely or never get caught in the act. But moms are close behind - 70 per cent get away with their sweet crime.
* A quarter of all parents surveyed admit they're ready to stealthily swipe sweets whenever they can, while one in five wait until the bewitched hour when their children are asleep to make a move.
* Parents pick their favourites.
* Traditions die hard. Nearly half of the parents surveyed claimed they frequently caught their own parents or siblings sneaking their Halloween treats when they were children.
