BLOOR WEST: Man carjacked at gunpoint

A man was allegedly robbed at gunpoint around 5:30 a.m. while driving on the South Kingsway Sunday.

Police responded to the 9-1-1 robbery call Sept. 28, discovering that the victim was driving south on the South Kingsway at The Queensway when a man stepped in front of his car and allegedly ordered the driver to let him into the vehicle. He then allegedly forced the victim to drive to an isolated area on Lake Shore Boulevard West near 33rd Street. There, he demanded the victim's wallet before allegedly assaulting the man.

The suspect is described as white, 30 years of age, about five-feet eight-inches to six-feet tall with a medium build and short dark hair. He had two to three days growth of facial hair. He is considered armed and dangerous. People are advised not to approach him, but instead to call 9-1-1.
