Police said a man approached an 82-year-old woman from behind and grabbed her purse around 8:30 a.m. A struggle ensued, and the man fled empty-handed.

The senior escaped injury.

The would-be robber is black, 30 to 35, six-feet to six-feet one-inch tall, 170 to 200 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and a medium build.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
