Athletes place at Canadian powerlifting championship
The Niagara Powerlifting Club hosted the largest drug-free weight-lifting event with more than 200 athletes competing in junior, open, master and blind categories.
Men and women aged 14 to 60-plus competed in their respective weight and age classes.
North York resident Sarah Frankel competed in the open age class and placed second. Adam Bury, also from North York, competed in the blind category and placed second.
Scarborough's Colin Garnett placed sixth in the open category.
