Birds will become the musicians at a free outdoor concert taking place early Sunday morning at Lakefront Promenade Park.
The event marks International Dawn Chorus Day, a world-wide event celebrating nature's miracles.
Birders will be on hand to identify the performing birds. The morning sounds will be recorded for a later web broadcast at www.naisa.ca. Organizers are also looking for a radio station to broadcast the recording.
The event is part of the Deep Wireless Festival of Radio and Transmission Art. The festival is a May-long celebration of art in radio and transmission taking place in the Toronto area. Throughout the month, there will be public performances, installations, broadcasts, workshops and many other activities.
The local event runs 4:30-7 a.m. at 800 Lakefront Promenade. People are asked to wear attire appropriate for rain or shine.
