Nissan enters Canadian commercial vehicles business

Mississauga-based Nissan Canada Inc. announced Thursday  it will begin selling commercial vehicles in Canada starting midway through 2010.
Over a period of three years, Nissan will bring three commercial vehicles to the Canadian market as part of a significant investment in North America.
The expansion of Nissan's North American commercial vehicle business will result in the creation of a multi-segment product range of vehicles below eight tonnes.
The key to this strategy is a Nissan plant in Canton, Mississippi, said the press release.
Nissan commercial vehicles are sold in 73 per cent of the world's markets.
