Pair charged in cargo theft spree

Two Mississauga residents have been charged with a string of truck cargo thefts across the GTA.
Investigators with the Peel Regional Police Commercial Auto Crime Bureau arrested a man and woman after a month-long probe.
Project What Came First started in late January in response to a series of tractor-trailer thefts in Mississauga and Toronto, police said.
Police say tractor-trailers containing various loads of merchandise were stolen from locations in Mississauga, Vaughan and Toronto.
"The stolen merchandise can be summarized as various dairy products and mattresses," Peel Cst. Adam Minnion said.
Value of the stolen goods is estimated at $635,000.
David Fonseca, 35, and Dominika Adrian, 21, are facing various theft and break-and-enter charges.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-453-2121, ext. 3313.
